Jazz Hands Clip Club
I missed the fact that it was these two gentlemen’s birthdays yesterday. Here’s a clip showcasing each. Two phrases: Never Bring a Sword to a Gunfight; and Picard + Jazz Hands = Ultra Win. ~Jenn

Happy 90th to Ray Harryhausen! Here, watch this wonderful skeleton fight to celebrate (thanks, Dangerous Minds!):
…to Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Here’s the most famous (to me) clip of him in action to honor him on this day. ~Jenn
April 23rd is a big Shakespeare anniversary–it’s his death day and alleged birthday as well. I’ll celebrate by posting a couple more rehearsal photos of the Shakespeare After Dark event the club did last weekend, and one of my favorite bits from the Reduced Shakespeare Company’s Compleat Works of Shakespeare (abridged). It’s the Histories. Done all at once. These guys are masters of clowning, and I’m sorry I had forgotten about them for my Clowning unit in Stage Combat.

Many Happy Returns to Chuck Norris, who turns 70 today. “Thank you, Chuck Norris.” –Dodgeball ~Jenn
Besides Saturday’s Stage Movement class and Stage Combat club, which are *always* exciting!
The Boulder Quest Center is moving locations–they’re going about a block north to a space with very high ceilings! Yes! Before this happens, they’re holding their Friday test nite at the old location. Adults test at 6pm as usual. Sorry I can’t be there, folks–I expect an extra-exciting highlight film!
And Sunday’s my birthday.
Here’s a video of Kevin and Keegan testing out the high ceilings with naginata. ~Jenn
I was going to celebrate Edgar Allen Poe’s birthday by posting my epic performance of “The Raven” here for your enjoyment, but then I realized it’s only on VHS, and I don’t have a way to convert it here. So, read this interesting post about him from stellar blog mental_floss, and enjoy this still picture of me performing “The Raven” not a day after legendary James Earl Jones almost made me bail on this performance by being so very awesome on The Simpsons. Oh, the show was called Halloween Alive, and it showed at the Boulder Public Library on Halloween to about 200 screaming children, who waned surprisingly silent when I began the poem. Still can’t explain that, though it is an ego boost. Oo, look how weird the image looks with the light tracks and the cool weird scan effects and the dust specks ( ~Jenn
