Creative Writing: the One-Page Novel

The following creative piece is an assignment given to me at Naropa by none other than Andrei Codrescu. The assignment was: a one-page novel. There were also several items/themes, etc. we were supposed to include (sorta like the 24-hour film fest here in Boulder): um, let’s see if I remember what they were… 1) a diverse cast; 2) a character missing a limb; 3) fast food; and…I think that was it. Also, it could be no more than one page long and it had to be a novel, not a short story, etc. Here ’tis. It’s called LAST KNIGHT. ~Jenn
