1930s jujutsu

Look at these delightful clips Jason found on stellar blog Boing-Boing. The martial artists are quite good, and it makes me wonder how odd it must have been for these women way back then to train. I mean, these are decent jujutsu moves, they all obviously know what they’re doing! Note the gentlemen’s wonderful break falling. I also love the “oopsie” gestures the second-clip woman makes after having tossed the dude directly into the floor. Very cool newsreels, thanks Boing-Boing, and thanks Jas for noticing! ~Jenn
